INSURANCE CLAIMS

Roof insurance claims, handled alongside you

We document the damage, talk you through filing, meet the adjuster and speak with your insurance company for you. You decide what happens next.

Chapter 01

It starts with photographs you get to keep

A claim is only as strong as the documentation behind it. When you call, one of our Project Managers comes out to your home and photographs the roof as it actually is: every slope, the flashing, the vents, the damage and the places where there is none. You get access to all of those photos, and the PM goes through them with you one at a time so you understand what each one shows.

That assessment is written up as a report. It is your record, not ours, and you can hand it to your insurer, a second contractor or a lawyer without asking permission.

We only document what is there. Our crew's standing line is that we will never have you fix anything unnecessary, and the photos are where that promise gets checked.

Filing, the adjuster, and the 7 to 10 day wait

Filing a claim for the first time is unfamiliar, and the forms are not written for homeowners. We stay by your side and talk you through it. Once the claim is open, we meet the insurance adjuster at your house so someone who builds roofs for a living is standing on the roof with the person who is deciding what is covered.

After the adjuster visit, the estimate usually comes back within 7 to 10 days. When it does, we sit down with you, go through the repairs it covers, and prepare a timeline. If you have questions about a line on that estimate, that is the meeting to ask them.

Every claim is different. Your insurer decides what your policy covers, and we cannot promise an outcome. What we can do is make sure the roof is documented properly and that you are not working through it alone.

Chapter 03

Direct communication with your insurance company

Claims tend to turn into a long run of calls and emails, and the people who have to make them are usually the ones who have a damaged house to deal with. We speak with your insurance company directly on your behalf, advocating for your best interests, so you are not relaying messages between us and an adjuster you have never met.

That is the part customers mention most in their reviews. One of them describes it in the next section, in his own words.

Then the roof gets repaired or replaced

Once the claim is settled, the work starts, and the same company that documented the damage does the repair or the full replacement, with our own crew on your roof. There is no handoff to a stranger who has not seen the photographs. If the estimate and the real conditions under the old shingles turn out to differ, you hear it from the PM who has been with you since the first visit.

Storm damage is where most of these claims begin. We do not promise what the insurer will approve, but we do promise the same crew, the same Project Manager and the same phone number from the first photo to the last nail sweep of the yard.

What customers say about the claim

“One of the biggest things I appreciated was how Drew handled everything with our insurance company. There was quite a bit of back-and-forth, and he took care of it all. He knew how to deal with the process, stayed on top of everything, and kept us from having to fight those battles ourselves.”

Branden Sharp, Google review

“The photos and information he supplied proved beyond a doubt it had severe hail damage.”

Linda Huber, Google review
